Weber Shandwick Announces Senior Promotions in Korea and Japan

06.28.2019

Weber Shandwick has promoted Juny Lee and Seikyu Hong to joint general managers of the firm’s Korean business and Campbell Hanley to general manager of the firm’s Japanese business. All promotions are effective immediately.

Under the executive leadership of Tyler Kim, managing director, North Asia (excluding China), Lee and Hong will share operational, client experience and overall market leadership of the firm’s office based in Seoul. In his new role as general manager, Hanley will continue to strengthen the capabilities and service offering of the Japanese business.

“Campbell, Juny and Seikyu have all grown significantly as leaders and these promotions are very well deserved,” said Tyler Kim. “Each one has been integral to the success of our Japanese and Korean operations and I am grateful for their support to help me continue to drive our business not only in North Asia, but also across the region.”

Lee, founder of digital and social media agency SocialLink, joined the firm in 2012 after the merger of SocialLink and Weber Shandwick. Recognised as one of the industry’s most influential digital communications specialists, Lee will be responsible for driving operational excellence and overseeing the employee experience framework.

Hong, a highly respected industry leader with more than 15 years’ experience, has been with Weber Shandwick Korea since close to its inception ten years ago. He will focus on building out the firm’s service offering to help clients solve in a highly complex world.

Hanley joined Weber Shandwick’s Tokyo team in 2014 and is well recognised among both employees and clients as an inspiring and visionary leader.
